Spot it.
Get pinged.
Go get it.

Kringspot is a community app for kringloop finds. Tell it what you are hunting for. When someone spots it on a thrift-store shelf near you, you get the photo, the shop and the directions.

Free to use. No listings, no payments, no account.

How Kringspot works

Three steps. The hard part is the walking.

  1. 1

    Set a watch

Describe what you are hoping to find, in your own words. Add a radius around your home if you only want to hear about shops nearby.

  2. 2

    Thrifters spot it

People browsing kringloop and thrift shops post a photo of what is on the shelves, tagged to the exact store. No listing, no price negotiation, just a tip-off.

  3. 3

    You get pinged

When a new find matches your watch you get a notification with the photo, the shop and its opening hours. Go and get it before someone else does.

Why Kringspot

Built for people who would rather browse a real shelf than scroll a marketplace.

Matches on meaning

Watches match on meaning, not exact keywords. A search for a mid-century armchair also catches a vintage Danish lounge chair.

Real shops, real shelves

Every find is tied to a physical thrift store, so you always know which door to walk through. Finds posted in the shop are location-verified.

Nothing to buy here

No listings, no payments, no haggling. Kringspot is a tip-off network. You pay the shop directly, and only if you actually want the thing.

Pay it forward

Spotted something good you do not need? Post it. Someone across town may have been hunting for it for months.

Every kringloop on one map

Kringspot ships with 976 thrift and second-hand shops across 389 Dutch towns and cities, geocoded to the front door. Pins light up when a shop has a fresh find, so you can see where today's stock actually is.

Questions

Short answers to the things people ask before they download.

Is Kringspot free?
Yes. Kringspot is a free community app. There are no listings, no payments and no fees. You pay the shop directly if you decide to buy something.
Where does Kringspot work?
It launches in Amsterdam first and grows out from there across the Netherlands. The shop map already covers 976 kringloop and second-hand shops in 389 Dutch towns and cities.
Do I need an account?
No sign-in. Kringspot gives you an anonymous profile with a generated handle, and you can delete all of your data from Settings at any time.
How does the matching work?
You describe what you want in your own words. Kringspot matches on meaning rather than exact keywords, so a mid-century armchair watch also catches a vintage Danish lounge chair. A watch can be limited to a radius around you or left open to anywhere.
Does Kringspot sell anything?
No. Kringspot is a tip-off network, not a marketplace. A find is a photo and a location, never a transaction. There is no in-app checkout and no commission.
Which languages does the app support?
English and Dutch. Kringspot follows your phone's language and you can override it in Settings.
